Pete Kim Managing Partner
Pete Kim leads a diverse team of subject matter experts and takes on the toughest problems by searching for and delivering the best technology solutions in industry. With 27 years of naval service, CAPT Kim founded the Navy’s Surface Analytics Group and Task Force Hopper, creating data-driven business products and insights supporting warship readiness and AI/ML initiatives. He was the commanding officer of the USS PRINCETON (CG 59) and USS CORONADO (LCS 4). He has expertise in naval and joint operations and supported data and AI/ML use cases (such as predictive readiness, JADC2, unmanned/autonomous vessels, conditions-based maintenance, and predictive readiness).

Jean Kim Managing Partner
Jean Kim is an experienced product and project management professional with a deep background in digital strategy and operations. She specializes in a broad range of areas including website content development, DevOps infrastructure, privacy and data security, CMS platforms, quality assurance, intranet solutions, SEO and analytics, and UI/UX best practices. With over a decade of experience as a Senior Product Manager at Military.com and more recent work as a freelance consultant, Jean brings a wealth of expertise in managing cross-functional teams, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. She excels at producing business and technical documentation, leading both in-person and virtual training sessions, and running agile scrums to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Grant Kluzak
Grant Kluzak is the Co-Founder and Principal of Third Phase Inc., a firm dedicated to shaping transformative strategies at the intersection of technology, data, and customer experience. With a background in applied AI systems, advanced data analytics, and innovation leadership, Grant brings a pragmatic yet visionary approach to helping organizations and ventures navigate complex change. His focus at Third Phase is on building platforms that are purposeful, resilient, and future-ready.He brings nearly 40 years of intrapreneurial experience of driving innovation and transformation from within the Department of the Navy. Grant has served both in uniform for 22 years as a Surface Warfare officer and later as a government civilian.

Zoah Scheneman
Captain (ret) Zoah Scheneman is a decorated former surface warfare officer with over three decades of distinguished service. Starting his career as an enlisted operations specialist on the USS WISCONSIN in 1987, he participated in Operations Desert Shield and Storm. He was commissioned in 1996, serving in multiple combatants. A career highlight was his command of the USS MAHAN and later, as Commodore of DESTROYER SQUADRON 26, where he led forces at sea for an unprecedented 205 days during the COVID pandemic. His assignments also included roles at the Missile Defense Agency, Commander of Afloat Training Group Norfolk, and Commanding Officer of the USS BARRY. He retired in 2022 on the deck of the USS WISCONSIN, where his naval journey began. After retiring, he continued to serve as the Director of Training, Exercise, and Wargames for the Navy Warfare Development Center before joining Kitty Hawk Technologies as the Director of Navy Surface Warfare Solutions.

Jeffrey Solka
Dr. Jeff Solka is a leading authority in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, with nearly 39 years of service at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) from June 1984 to May 2023. He led pioneering R&D in statistical pattern recognition, computer vision, cybersecurity, and text data mining, and held senior command-level roles including Chief Scientist and Distinguished Scientist for Naval Data Sciences, where he directed strategic planning in AI and intelligent automation. As director of the NSWCDD ONR ILIR and IAR programs (2008–2019), he oversaw efforts that yielded 67 peer-reviewed journal papers, 27 awarded patents, and 26 advanced degrees. A prolific researcher with over 120 publications across more than 23 journals, Dr. Solka's work has received over 2,200 citations according to Google Scholar, reflecting his broad impact on the field. He is a co-author of a data analytics textbook and has taught extensively at George Mason University and the University of Mary Washington. Honors include the Dr. James E. Colvard Award and election as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. He now serves as a private consultant and educator.
